Cary Okawa

Cary Okawa has a strong work history in finance and accounting. Cary has held various high-level positions in multiple companies. From 2023 to the present, they have been the Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) at OSI Systems. Prior to this, they held the same role at Binance.US from 2022 to 2023 and at Acorns from 2021 to 2022. Before focusing on the CAO role, Cary was the VP, Corporate Controller at OSI Systems from 2019 to 2021. Cary also served as the Chief Accounting Officer at Arbonne from 2016 to 2019, overseeing global accounting and risk management. Earlier in their career, they held leadership positions at Ready Pac Foods, Inc., Newport Corporation, Ceradyne, Inc., Advanced Medical Optics, and Tektronix, Inc. Their responsibilities included financial accounting and reporting, compliance, tax, treasury, and FP&A. Throughout their career, Cary has led various technology and process improvement initiatives, saving significant costs and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Cary Okawa studied at the University of Hawaii - College of Business Administration from 1984 to 1989, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on Accounting. Cary obtained their first certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the State of Hawaii in May 1993. Later, in January 2001, they obtained another CPA certification from the State of California.
