Essex Thompson

Essex Thompson has five years of work experience. In 2014, they worked as a Sr. Lead Staff at Bauer Recreation Center, where they supervised a group of 25-30 campers, coordinated theme related activities, organized morning workouts, and coached competitive basketball games with local camps. In 2019, they worked as a Store Executive Intern at Target, where they shadowed experienced leaders, trained and motivated team members, and worked in various positions. They also worked as an Operations Supervisor at Towson University Campus Recreation, where they served as the first responder to emergencies, provided management for internal and external events, and maintained knowledge of proper equipment use. From 2020 to present, they have worked at Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Baltimore as a Finance & Administration Coordinator and Human Resources Intern. As a Finance & Administration Coordinator, they managed the onboarding process for new hires, submitted bi-weekly payroll, conducted software training, and served as the point of contact between the organization and IT/Cybersecurity contractor. As a Human Resources Intern, they provided general administrative and clerical support, maintained the grants filing system, and prepared and modified documents. Currently, they are working as a Technical Support Engineer at OSIbeyond.

Essex Thompson has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Towson University, which they completed in 2020. Before that, they attended Bridgewater College from 2016 to 2017. Essex has also obtained certifications from Microsoft, CompTIA, and the American Red Cross, including Microsoft Office Specialist Excel 2016 (2018), CompTIA A+ ce Certification (2022), CompTIA Security+ ce Certification (2021), and CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers First Aid (2019).
