Rene Hordijk 🇸🇬🇩🇪

Rene Hordijk has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Rene is currently working as the GM at Frech (Shanghai) Die Casting Machine Co., Ltd. since June 2023. Prior to that, they were the Managing Director Frech Asia at Oskar Frech GmbH + Co. KG from January 2019. Rene also served as the Head of Sales South East Asia at Gebr. Heller Maschinenfabrik GmbH from September 2017 to December 2018. From March 2016 to August 2017, they worked as a Strategic Global Account Manager at Sandvik Coromant and later became the National Sales Manager Singapore & Agent Markets from May 2013 to February 2016. From November 2009 to March 2013, they were the Country Manager Vietnam and Business Development Manager Philippines at DMG MORI, and before that, they served as the Sales Director Asia at the same company. Rene Hordijk has also worked at Michael Weinig AG as a Product Manager for the APAC region and at Groz-Beckert as a Sales Manager Asia. Rene started their career as a Management Trainee at Vesuvius and later worked as a Marketing Assistant at Grohe.

Rene Hordijk 🇸🇬🇩🇪 pursued their education in an international business field with a focus on Asia. From 1998 to 2002, they attended Hochschule Furtwangen, where they obtained an MBA in International Business. During their time there, they specialized in the Asian market. In 2000, Rene briefly studied Entrepreneurship, Marketing Communication, and Small Business Operations at the University of Victoria. In 1999, they also spent a period at Northwest University, concentrating on Chinese Language and Literature in the field of Language & Cultural Studies.

In addition to their formal education, Rene has obtained several certifications. They completed courses such as "How to Use Rejection to Your Advantage," "Six Sigma Foundations," "Developing Business Partnerships," "LinkedIn Learning Highlights: Business Strategy and Analysis," "The New Rules of Work," "What To Do When You Are Bullied at Work," and "Motivating and Engaging Employees." These certifications were obtained from LinkedIn, with the most recent ones acquired in 2021.
