Head of Systems at Osler Diagnostics

Kartal Çağatay, M.Sc.Eng has extensive work experience in systems engineering and management roles. Kartal is currently the Head of Systems at Osler Diagnostics, a position they started in June 2023. Previously, they worked as the Head of Systems Engineering at ASMPT SMT Solutions from January 2022 to June 2023.

From November 2020 to January 2022, Kartal served as the Mechatronic Systems Engineering Manager at ZF Group. Kartal also held various roles at ZF Group, including Systems Engineering Supervisor - Line Manager from September 2018 to November 2020 and Principal Systems Engineer from May 2017 to August 2018. As a Principal Systems Engineer, they were responsible for leading a team of three engineers and overseeing the design of next-generation electronic power steering and steer-by-wire systems.

Before joining ZF Group, Kartal worked at Aselsan from December 2016 to May 2017 as a Systems Engineering Team Leader and an Engineering Project Manager/Technical Leader from January 2015 to May 2017. Kartal also held roles as a Safety Manager from January 2012 to December 2014 and a Senior Expert/Expert Missile Systems Engineer from March 2011 to December 2014.

Kartal's early career includes experience as a Systems Engineer at Roketsan Missiles Inc. from June 2007 to July 2010. In this role, they participated in the development of a Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) system and was responsible for various tasks, such as analyzing system requirements, building control systems, and designing control algorithms.

Kartal began their career as a Research and Teaching Assistant at METU from August 2005 to June 2007.

Kartal Çağatay, M.Sc.Eng has an extensive education background. Kartal began their education journey in 1994 at Ankara Atatürk Anatolian High School, where they studied Mathematics and obtained their High School degree in 2001.

After completing high school, Kartal Çağatay pursued their passion for engineering by enrolling at Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi (Middle East Technical University). From 2001 to 2005, they pursued their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Kartal then chose to specialize further in the field, and from 2002 to 2006, they obtained a Minor degree in Mechatronics from the same institution.

Their dedication and interest in the field continued, leading him to pursue a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi from 2005 to 2010. With this degree, Kartal Çağatay became a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, further enhancing their expertise in the subject.
