OSMI was founded in 2023 by the team behind Gala's Decentralized Physical Infrastructure (DePIN) node network which powers approximately 50% of IPFS through 50k+ nodes, making it one of the biggest DePINs in the market. The OSMI team is also recognized for developing the backend powering dozens of AAA games, including Halo, Call of Duty, and Heartstone.
