Insil Choi is a medical illustrator currently working at Osso VR. Insil has also worked as a freelance illustrator for Harvard University, Kummer Consulting LLC, The Picower Institute for Learning & Memory at MIT, Parkloco, University of Maryland Baltimore County, and Rhode Island Hospital.
Choi earned their BFA in Illustration from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2014. While they were still a student, they started working as a freelance medical illustrator and has continued to work in that field since graduating.
Insil Choi has a Master of Arts from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in medical and biology illustration, a non-degree in chemistry and biology from Boston University, a Bachelor of Fine Art in illustration from Rhode Island School of Design, a Bachelor's Degree in visual communications design from National Institute for Lifelong Education, and an Associate of Arts in animation from Kaywon School of Art & Design.
They work with Jordan Thornton - Associate Medical Illustrator, Jacqueline Mason - Senior Medical Illustrator, and Olivia Dodds - Associate Medical Illustrator. Insil Choi reports to Daniel Hermansen, Director of Medical Illustration.
