Dr. Gidvani is an Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon practicing in Los Gatos, CA. He is a Bay Area native and completed his undergraduate education at the University of California at Berkeley and achieved Honors standing with a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering. He obtained his medical degree from New York Medical College and completed his residency at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. While in training he also received the Michael and Myrtle Backer Research grant to perform a research fellowship investigating the biomechanics of the intervertebral disc on a microscopic level. He completed his comprehensive fellowship in Spine Surgery at theUniversity of California at Los Angeles under the tutelage of internationally renowned spine surgeons.
Dr. Gidvani has authored several books chapters in Spine Surgery including those on Thoracic Spine Disease, Spinal Stenosis, Surgical Management of Lumbar Degenerative Disc Disease, and Adjacent Segment Pathology of the Cervical Spine. He is a reviewer for the GlobalSpine Journal and The Spine Journal and an active member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, North American Spine Society, and AO Spine Foundation. He is the Chair of the NASS Website and Digital Communications committee and holds key roles on various committees within the organizations above. Dr. Gidvani has a true passion for advancement of education on a global level and has traveled internationally to teach spine surgeons from around the world.
