Dr. Djana Bejko has a diverse work experience spanning over several organizations. Dr. Djana BEJKO began their professional journey in 2000 at the Regional Environmental Center (REC) as a Senior Project Manager. In 2010, they joined HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation as a Senior Program Officer. Following this, they served as the Deputy Minister of Environment Albania at the Ministry of Environment Albania from 2013 to 2014. Dr. Bejko then became the Executive Director of Albanian Shkodra Lake FORUM in 2015. In 2016, they assumed the role of Head of Environment, Health, and Safety at OST sh.a. Finally, they became part of ADF Albania as a Scientific Staff member in 2018.
Dr. Djana Bejko Bejko has a strong background in the field of biology and environmental management. Dr. Djana BEJKO obtained their Doctor of Biological Sciences | PhD degree in Management Planning on Fresh Water Quality from the University of Tirana's Faculty of Natural Sciences, where they studied from 2007 to 2012. Prior to this, they completed a Master's degree in Ecology of Fresh Waters, specifically in Lake Shkodra/Skadar, at the University of Tirana from 2003 to 2007.
In addition to their formal education, Dr. Bejko Bejko has also obtained certifications in environmental strategic assessment and environmental impact assessment from the Ministry of Environment. Dr. Djana BEJKO received these certifications in June 2017 and April 2015 respectively.
