Bernie Defreitas

Bernie Defreitas has over 30 years of work experience in various roles in the sales and marketing field. Bernie has held positions such as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Osterman and Company, Vice President Marketing at Osterman & Company, North American Sales Leader - Packaging at Braskem, and North American Product Director Polypropylene at The Dow Chemical Company. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in strategic marketing initiatives, market participation strategy development, P&L responsibility, and new business development. Bernie has also been involved in leading cross-functional teams and achieving financial turnaround for businesses. Their work experience spans industries such as plastic distribution and brokerage, polyethylene, polypropylene, and building materials.

Bernie Defreitas pursued their education beginning in 1986 with a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) from McMaster University. Bernie attended McMaster University for four years and completed their degree in 1990 with a focus on business. Later, from 2005 to 2008, Bernie furthered their education at Northwood University - DeVos Graduate School, where they obtained an MBA in Business.
