Jim Callinan has extensive experience in the investment management industry. Jim started their career as a Senior Consultant at Arthur Andersen and Company in 1982. Jim then joined Putnam Investments in 1987, where they served as a Portfolio Manager and received several awards for their performance. In 1996, they moved to Robertson Stephens Investment Management as a Managing Director, where they managed the RS Emerging Growth Fund and two hedge fund strategies. In 1999, they co-founded RS Investments and served as the President and Chief Investment Officer. After managing the company for 13 years, they founded Callinan Asset Management LLC in 2012, where they were the CEO. Jim later sold the advisory assets of their firm to Osterweis Capital Management in 2016. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Investment Officer for Emerging Growth Equities at Osterweis Capital Management.
Jim Callinan has an extensive education history. Jim pursued their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics from Harvard University, graduating in 1982. Following this, they attended the NYU Stern School of Business where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Accounting, completing their studies in 1983. Jim furthered their education at the prestigious Harvard Business School, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Business/Commerce, General, graduating in 1987.
