Marcus Vieira

Marcus Vieira has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Starting with their most recent position, they are currently the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Ostrom, a role they assumed in February 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Head of Engineering at Ostrom from June 2021 to February 2022, where they designed and built a green energy management platform, managed stakeholders, and hired and mentored the tech team.

Before joining Ostrom, Marcus held the position of Tech Lead at MVP Fa from June 2020 to June 2021. Marcus also worked as a Senior Backend Engineer at COCUS Portugal from March 2020 to May 2020. During their tenure at COCUS Portugal, Marcus was involved in the development of a Tickets Tracking Mobile System using technologies such as Python, Flask, MicroServices, Kubernetes, GitLab CI, AWS Services, and Agile Methodologies.

Prior to that, Marcus worked as a Senior Backend Engineer at Elinvar.de from December 2018 to March 2020, and as a Backend Developer at Ratiofill GmbH from January 2018 to December 2018. At Elinvar.de, they focused on backend engineering, while at Ratiofill GmbH, they were involved in real estate projects, utilizing JavaScript technologies and Agile Methodologies.

Marcus also has experience as a Senior Backend Engineer at Agência de Tecnologia Agilizeware do Brasil, where they worked from August 2017 to January 2018. Additionally, they served as a Tech Lead at Cielo from September 2016 to August 2017 and as a Senior Backend Engineer/Team Lead at GFT Group from February 2016 to September 2016. In these roles, they worked on insurance systems and managed development teams.

Prior to that, Marcus worked as a Senior Backend Engineer/Team Lead at MAGNA SISTEMAS from September 2015 to February 2016 and as a Software Engineer at Cognizant from June 2014 to September 2015.

Throughout their career, Marcus has demonstrated expertise in various technologies such as Java, Python, JavaScript, and various frameworks and methodologies such as Agile and DevOps. Marcus has also gained experience in team management, technical leadership, and project development.

Marcus Vieira completed their education in a chronological manner. In 2007-2008, they attended ETEC - Escola Técnica Estadual de São Paulo where they pursued a Technical Education degree in Business Administration. From 2008 to 2011, Marcus studied Analysis and Development Systems at Faculdade de Tecnologia de São Paulo - FATEC-SP. Later, from 2015 to 2016, they pursued a Master of Business Administration - MBA in Solutions Architecture at FIAP, specializing in Information of Technology. Additionally, Marcus has obtained various certifications, including PSM I - Professional Scrum Master I from Scrum.org in February 2019, Google Analytics Individual Qualification from Google in February 2021, Certified Kubernetes Application Developer from CNCF [Cloud Native Computing Foundation] in 2019, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services in November 2018, and multiple certifications from Oracle, including Certified Business Component Developer, Certified Java Associate 6, and Certified Java Programmer 6.
