Christian Leigh

Christian Leigh has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Christian currently holds the position of Sr Principal / Director Database Developer at OSTTRA since February 2022. In this role, they are responsible for developing and managing databases, including migrating and transforming legacy data to Amazon cloud Oracle databases using migration tools that they developed.

Prior to joining OSTTRA, Christian worked at IHS Markit as a Principal Software Engineer and Associate Director. There, they designed and developed a major data migration toolset, including mapping tools, auto code generation, and a developer GUI. Christian also created a complete migration solution to transfer data from legacy tabular data systems to an Oracle JSON document store.

Before IHS Markit, Christian worked at Betfair as a Principal Developer on the Exchange Platform. Christian played a crucial role in the development of Betfair's high transaction software suite, primarily written in PL/SQL. This platform processes over 5 million bet transactions per day.

Christian's previous experience includes roles at cataloga, CSC - British Aerospace, Lloyds TSB, Trace Computers Plc, and bepos, where they gained valuable experience as a Senior Developer, Contract Oracle Specialist, Senior Software Developer, and Junior Developer, respectively.

Throughout their career, Christian has demonstrated expertise in database development, data migration, software engineering, and the implementation of innovative tools and frameworks.
