Thomas K. Betsinger, CPRP, has extensive experience in the field of recreation management. Currently serving as the Executive Director of Oswegoland Park District since September 1997, Thomas has been responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, and managing staff to enhance community recreational opportunities. Previous roles include Director of Recreation and Superintendent of Recreation, showcasing a commitment to exceptional service and sound resource management. In addition to park district responsibilities, Thomas served as a Leisure Services Supervisor for the Village of Montgomery from May 2019 to November 2023 and as a Trustee from 2015 to May 2019, contributing to the guidance and planning of community growth as part of the Plan Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from Illinois College, obtained in 1997.

The Oswegoland Park District is committed to “Creating Opportunities for a Healthy Community.” Established in 1950, the District serves approximately 57,000 residents living within this District’s 38-square mile service area. This area includes the Village of Oswego, parts of Montgomery, Aurora and Plainfield, and all of Boulder Hill.
