Karl Sahlin

Karl Sahlin is currently the Head of Portfolio Solutions at OSYTE Investment Technology since November 2021. OSYTE is a financial-technology company that provides investment technology solutions for OCIOs. In this role, Karl is responsible for overseeing the integrated system that supports the entire investment process, including data aggregation, asset allocation monitoring, portfolio rebalancing, and performance measurement.

Prior to their current position, Karl worked at Russell Investments for over a decade. From January 2010 to April 2021, they served as a Senior Portfolio Manager in Russell Investments' Implementation Services division. In this role, Karl worked closely with institutional investors, providing implementation advice, strategy development, and portfolio management services. Their primary responsibilities included designing, implementing, and managing portfolios for overlay services clients and the funds business.

Before their tenure as a Senior Portfolio Manager, Karl held the position of Manager - Portfolio Trading at Russell Investments from November 1993 to April 2007. In this role, they led the Portfolio Trading Group and also worked as an Investment Officer.

Karl Sahlin obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics-Accounting & Psychology from Claremont McKenna College, where they studied until 1987. In 1993, they obtained the certification of Certified Public Accountant (CPA retired) from the Washington State Board of Accountancy.
