Toni Ruuska

Toni Ruuska has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Toni is currently working at Suunto as the Head of Web and eCom Platform, where they are responsible for leading the development of their web, eCommerce, and analytics platforms. Prior to this, they worked at Otavamedia as a Monthly Columnist.

Toni also served as the Head of Software Development at Hygga Oy, where they led a team of professionals in software development, data analytics, and design for a medical resource planning scale-up. Toni implemented agile working models and remote-working tools during the global pandemic.

At Posti Group Oyj, Toni held multiple roles including Head of Inhouse Marketing, where they transformed the marketing operations and established agile operations for marketing. Toni also served as the Digital Sales Channel Lead and Head of Digital CX, where they led the development of digital sales channels and customer experience strategies.

Prior to that, Toni worked at YIT as a Digital Development Manager, where they led a team in the digital transformation of the construction industry. Toni also worked at Sanoma Media Finland and Sanoma as a Product Manager, responsible for mobile and tablet portfolios.

Toni's earlier experiences include roles at Verkkokauppa.com as a Product Manager, H-Town as an Editor-in-Chief, and the City of Helsinki Urban Facts Centre as a Database Developer.

Toni Ruuska's education history began in 2001 when they enrolled at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, where they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Industrial Management. They completed their undergraduate studies in 2006. Additionally, in 2003 and 2004, Toni attended DTU - Technical University of Denmark and engaged in studies related to Industrial Management.

In 2014, Toni pursued further education at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, this time undertaking a Master's Degree in Engineering/Industrial Management. They completed this program in 2015.

Toni's educational journey continued in 2020, when they enrolled at The Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing (IDM). They completed a Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing (Dip DigM), focusing on Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia in 2021.

Apart from their formal education, Toni also obtained several certifications to enhance their skills. In July 2019, they obtained the Google Analytics Individual Qualification from Google. In November 2020, they achieved the Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) certification from Scrum Alliance, followed by the Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) certification in the same month.

Overall, Toni Ruuska has a solid educational background in Engineering/Industrial Management and Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia, complemented by certifications in Google Analytics, Scrum Product Ownership, and ScrumMaster.
