Billy Sabia has a diverse work experience in the beer industry. Billy currently serves as the Director of Sales at Other Half Brewing Company, where they are responsible for the national and international sales strategy. Billy manages a team of 8 salespeople and is in charge of developing and managing the annual brand release schedule.

Prior to their current role, Billy worked at Anheuser-Busch InBev, where they held various positions. Billy started as a Contemporary Marketing Team Representative and then transitioned to Sales Representative roles in both on-premise and off-premise chains. Billy was later promoted to the Sales Management Training Program Associate, where they gained insight into every aspect of the sales and marketing department. Billy then took on the role of District Manager in Northern Minnesota, where they managed sales, distribution, and program implementation for five independent wholesalers.

After their successful tenure as a District Manager, Billy became a High End Key Account Manager for the Independent Package Liquor channel in Metro NY, and later served as the High End Channel Lead for the Small Format segment in the Northeast region. In their roles, they developed strategies for key chain retailers and utilized data analytics to identify opportunities for brand growth. Billy also led the category technology development and strategy for the total US as the National Tech Sales Manager.

Throughout their career, Billy has consistently demonstrated strong leadership, sales, and strategic planning skills.

Billy Sabia completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree from Salve Regina University from 2007 to 2012. Prior to that, they obtained their High School Diploma from Trinity-Pawling School between 2005 and 2007. Additionally, Billy Sabia has earned two additional certifications: a Six Sigma White Belt Certification from Anheuser-Busch InBev in February 2015, and a Cicerone Certified Beer Server certification from the Cicerone® Certification Program in August 2013.

In 2014, Sam Richardson, Matt Monahan and Andrew Burman founded Other Half Brewing Company, in Brooklyn, New York, with a simple mission: to create beers that they wanted to drink from a company they wanted to be a part of. Their vision was to build a passionate team, tirelessly innovating, to brew world-class beer representing the “other half” of the industry. Other Half believes that craft breweries play an important role in their communities. We expand through new locations that brew exceptional beer while adhering to the local culture. In 2019, Other Half opened its second location in East Bloomfield, New York. During 2020, we plan to continue our expansion while never forgetting our humble beginnings.
