Joy Reichenbach has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Joy is currently the Director of Business Operations at Other Half Brewing Company, a position they have held since June 2022. Prior to that, they founded their own company called joylovesbeer in 2020, where they served as the Founder and CEO. In 2021, they worked at TALEA Beer Co. as the Head of Operations. From 2019 to 2021, they worked at Other Half Brewing Company, first as an Operations & Communications Manager and then as a Bartender and Events Planner. Before entering the beer industry, Joy worked at Lippincott as a Senior Associate and Associate, specializing in brand strategy. Joy also has consulting experience from their time at ZS Associates as a Business Consultant and Associate Consultant. Additionally, they worked as an Environmental Intern at Buro Happold, a Robotics Teaching Assistant at Columbia University, and an Associate Engineer at Orbital Sciences Corporation.
Joy Reichenbach has a strong educational background in mechanical engineering. Joy obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. Joy then pursued further education at Columbia Engineering, where they completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2008 to 2009. In addition to their formal education, Joy has also obtained two certifications from the Cicerone® Certification Program. In 2015, they became a certified Cicerone Beer Server, and in 2018, they achieved the higher level of certification as a Certified Cicerone.
Other Half Brewing Company
In 2014, Sam Richardson, Matt Monahan and Andrew Burman founded Other Half Brewing Company, in Brooklyn, New York, with a simple mission: to create beers that they wanted to drink from a company they wanted to be a part of. Their vision was to build a passionate team, tirelessly innovating, to brew world-class beer representing the “other half” of the industry. Other Half believes that craft breweries play an important role in their communities. We expand through new locations that brew exceptional beer while adhering to the local culture. In 2019, Other Half opened its second location in East Bloomfield, New York. During 2020, we plan to continue our expansion while never forgetting our humble beginnings.
