Guido Smeets is a seasoned software architect and designer with extensive experience in software development across various sectors. Currently serving at Otherside at Work since May 2014, Guido has previously held roles at Gemeente Eindhoven as a council member for D66Eindhoven, and as a software engineer at NetMatch, where the focus was on frontend techniques for the travel industry. With a strong foundation built as a lead software engineer at KempenHills ICT B.V. and as a software engineer at MarketMind BV, Guido has developed websites, web applications, mobile apps, and desktop applications using technologies like C# and ASP.NET. Early career experiences include IT professional roles at Philips Corporate Legal and various freelance projects, complemented by a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology.
