Srinivas Meherji Sangineni has extensive experience in the field of traffic engineering and transportation. Srinivas Meherji was responsible for business development, project management, and played a key role in the Traffic Engineering Services for the Capital Development Program at the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.

Sangineni also worked at Bucher, Willis & Ratliff Corporation (H.W. Lochner) as a Transportation/Traffic Engineer from November 1996 to September 2000. In this role, they managed client relationships, marketing, project pursuits, and traffic engineering projects in Dallas, Texas.

Srinivas Meherji began their career as a Traffic Engineer at the City of Austin from January 1995 to October 1996, where they were responsible for the operations of approximately 300 traffic signals and various traffic safety studies.

Sangineni's early career included research positions at the Texas Transportation Institute (TTI) and Texas A&M University System from January 1991 to December 1994. Srinivas Meherji conducted extensive research in traffic signal operations, intelligent transportation systems, and business models for projects all over Texas.

Before moving to the United States, they worked as a Design Engineer at TIMS Consultants Private Limited in India from June 1988 to June 1990.

Srinivas Meherji Sangineni completed their high school education at IDPL High School from 1971 to 1982. Srinivas Meherji then attended St. Alphonsas Junior College from 1982 to 1984 for their Intermediate/High School education. Later, they graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Osmania University from 1984 to 1988. Srinivas Meherji pursued their Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Traffic and Transportation Planning from Texas A&M University from 1990 to 1992. Additionally, they completed a Leadership and Management training program from 1993 to 2008.
