Mathias Eitz

Mathias Eitz has a wealth of work experience. From 2016 to present, they have been the Founder & Managing Director of Othoz GmbH. From 2012 to 2016, they were the Founder & Managing Director of Disdar GmbH, a machine learning based, highly-scalable API to understand and structure information within documents. Technology acquired by SEVENIT GmbH. From 2007 to 2012, they were a Research Associate at TU Berlin, where they conducted research on computational understanding of human-drawn sketches and sketch-based image retrieval, combining technologies from Machine Learning, Computer Graphics and Computer Vision. Mathias'sresearch was published in high-profile journals and presented at international conferences, and they were an invited speaker at MIT, Harvard University and ETH Zürich. From 2012 to 2011, they were a Visiting Researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Brown University.

Mathias Eitz completed their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD (Dr.-Ing.) in Computer Science from Technische Universität Berlin in 2012. Prior to this, they earned a Master of Science - MS in Computer Science from the same university between 2002 and 2007. In addition, they obtained a Master of Engineering - MEng in Computer Science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University between 2004 and 2006.
