Forest Sun

Forest Sun has a diverse work experience in legal and compliance roles. Currently, Forest is the Head of Legal at OTI Lumionics since 2023. Prior to this, Forest worked at Nissan Canada Inc. as a member of the Legal Department from 2022 to 2023. Forest's responsibilities included negotiating and reviewing contracts, advising the R&D department, and representing the company in legal matters. Forest also served as the Director of Global Compliance at Yanfeng from 2015 to 2021, where Forest implemented a global compliance program and acted as legal counsel for the Asia purchasing and commercial departments. Forest's earlier roles include Regional Compliance Officer and Internal Control Lead at Johnson Controls from 2011 to 2015, and Audit Manager at KPMG China from 2004 to 2011.

Forest Sun completed a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in Law from the University of Michigan Law School from 2019 to 2020. Following that, from 2021 to 2022, Forest pursued a Global Professional Master of Laws (GPLLM) at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. Forest also holds a Master's degree in Juris Master, which was obtained from Shanghai Jiao Tong University between 2015 and 2017. Forest's undergraduate education includes a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Shanghai University of International Business and Economics, earned from 2000 to 2004.
