Kate Jenkins

Kate Jenkins is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Manager of Internal Communications at the Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan (OTIP) since December 2017. In this role, Kate creates engaging content through storytelling to keep employees informed about organizational changes, oversees the distribution of internal communications across various channels, and manages the strategic direction of OTIP's intranet. Previously, Kate taught Professional Writing Skills for Business at Conestoga College and held multiple positions at the University of Guelph, including Acting Manager of Marketing and Communications and roles in web communications. Earlier experience includes a Communications Associate position at the University of Waterloo, as well as various communications roles at Bell Media and Bell. Kate holds a Master of Arts in Rhetoric and Communication Design from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from Mount Saint Vincent University.
