Having graduated from the Faculty of Accounting of Diponegoro University, Tirta Segara polished his craft in the field of finance by completing his postgraduate study at George Washington University and earned a Master’s Degree in Business-Finance and Investment from there in 1994. A year later, Tirta embarked on a banking career by working as an investment banker at Ficorinvest Bank, Jakarta.
In 2001, the International Monetary Fund named him advisor to SEA VG Office. Later, Tirta moved to Bank Indonesia and after dedicating himself there for almost a decade, the man who was born in Semarang, on July 6th, 1963, was appointed as Deputy Secretariat General of the central bank employees’ association.
In 2014, the top graduate of Bank Indonesia Leader Staff school (SESPIBI) Class XXIX was promoted to Head of Communication Department. During his tenure, he produced a fair share of research publications or books such as ‘Memperkuat Kerangka Kebijakan Moneter (Strengthening Monetary Policies Framework),’ and ‘Jaga Stabilitas, Dukung Pemulihan Ekonomi (Maintain Stability, Support Economic Recovery).’
During his years of service at Bank Indonesia, Tirta often provided Advanced Education and Training (Orientation)—Outdoor Management Development—in 2000 and Advanced Education and Training II—Outward Bound—in 2005.
