Michael Marshak

Michael Marshak is the Founder and CEO of Otoro Energy, a position held since September 2020. Concurrently, Michael serves as an Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado Boulder starting from August 2015, teaching in the Chemistry department and conducting research on organic and inorganic materials within the Renewable and Sustainable Energy Institute (RASEI) until May 2024. Prior experience includes a role as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University from February 2013 to July 2015, contributing to research on new organic flow battery technology for grid-scale energy storage in the labs of Michael Aziz and Roy Gordon. Michael earned a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology between 2006 and 2012 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Cornell University, 2002 to 2006, along with a High School Diploma from Gilman School, 1995 to 2002.
