Mike Ashton

Mike Ashton is a highly experienced professional in the creative and visual effects industries, currently serving as Director of Creative Projects at OTOY and Director of Operations at LightStage since April 2021. Previously, Mike held the position of Creative Director at Bad Robot Productions from January 2019 to December 2020 and was a Partner at Waffle, a boutique animation studio, from 2016 to 2019. As a freelancer from 2006 to 2019, Mike worked as a director and VFX artist across various media. Additional roles include Partner at PAVR, an Emmy-winning live-action VR studio, Advisor at Scarecrow VFX, and Digital Director at Katalyst Films. Mike's educational background includes degrees from Brown University, Blair Academy, and Perry High School.
