Len Hensel has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several companies in the engineering and wheel manufacturing industry.

Len started their most recent position as a Wheel Hub Systems Engineer at OTR Wheel Engineering, Inc in April 2017, where they are currently employed.

Prior to that, Len worked as the Chief Engineer - Applications at The Carlstar Group from July 2016 to November 2016.

Len spent a significant portion of their career at GKN Land Systems, where they held the position of Chief Engineer - Wheels - Americas from May 2013 to May 2016. During their time there, they managed product design activities for agricultural, construction, and large mining wheels in the Americas region. Len also provided design oversight for large mining design activities at the Liuzhou factory in China. Additionally, Len was responsible for the design and development of the hub systems product line in North America.

Before joining GKN Land Systems, Len worked at GKN Wheels as a Technical Director from October 2001 to May 2013.

Prior to that, Len held the role of Chief Engineer for Construction and Mining Wheels at Titan Wheel Corporation from March 1997 to September 2001.

Len started their career at Hayes Lemmerz International as a Quality and New Products Manager from June 1987 to March 1997.

Len's first job in the industry was at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, where they served as an Off Highway Products Manager from January 1977 to July 1987.

Len Hensel has a diverse educational background that includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago, which they earned from 1974 to 1976. Prior to that, from 1972 to 1974, they obtained an Associate's Degree in Pre-Engineering from Wright Jr. College - Chicago City Colleges. Later in their career, from 2008 to 2010, Len pursued further education at Northwestern University. There, they studied Management of the product development and design process from concept generation through launch at the McCormick School of Engineering - Segal Design Institute and the Kellogg School of Management, ultimately earning a Master of Science degree.
