VP Engineering & Operations at OTR Engineered Solutions

Marty Drennen has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Marty started their career in 1985 as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Kenworth Truck, where they focused on project management assignments in Class 8 truck assembly. Marty then moved on to Champion Bus in 1996, where they served as the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

In 1998, Marty joined Imperial Group as the VP/Director of Engineering, providing engineering support to 5 domestic locations and overseeing various responsibilities such as product quotation, tooling design, manufacturing engineering, and project engineering. Marty continued their tenure at Imperial Group until 2006 when they became the VP/GM at Accuride/Imperial Group, a subsidiary of Accuride Corporation specializing in manufacturing components and complex assemblies for the heavy truck and bus industry.

In 2008, Marty ventured into consulting and held leadership positions at Expense Reduction Analysts, where they provided consulting services to industry management, and Diomedes LLC, a consulting firm focusing on manufacturing process improvement and product costing.

From 2009 to 2011, Marty served as the Operations Manager at Theratech Inc., a privately-held company committed to providing specialized rehabilitation products and services. Following this role, they became the Plant Manager at Whitley Products in 2011, a company that manufactures precision tubular products for various industries.

In 2012, Marty joined Theratech Inc. again, this time as the Director of Operations. Marty worked there until 2014 when they moved on to their most recent position as the VP of Engineering & Operations at OTR Wheel Engineering, Inc., a privately held corporation that specializes in delivering off-the-road (OTR) tires, wheels, and other related products to OEMs, resellers, distributors, and aftermarket customers.

Throughout their career, Marty has demonstrated their expertise in operations management, manufacturing engineering, project management, and product design.

Marty Drennen pursued higher education beginning in 1977 at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where they studied Industrial Engineering and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in this field. Following this, Marty Drennen attended the University of Dayton from 1993 to 1995, where they successfully completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
