Akash Gaikwad

Akash Gaikwad is a Contract Management Officer with the City of Ottawa, involved in the Stage 2 Confederation Line Metro Project. Previously, Akash worked in project management for the Ottawa Light Rail Transit (OLRT) at SNC-Lavalin. Akash has extensive experience in real estate as a Project Manager and Head of Real Estate at Cytonn Investments, coordinating various projects in Nairobi, Kenya. Prior roles include Deputy Manager at Tata Projects, overseeing a large MIVAN structure, and Site Civil Engineer at Lodha Group, gaining experience on major construction projects in Mumbai. Akash holds a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Carleton University, a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute, and has completed an Executive Project Management course at the Indian Institute of Management Rohtak.
