Andres Acero

Andres Acero is an experienced professional currently serving as a Strategic Support Coordinator for the City of Ottawa since April 2022. Previously, Andres worked as a Supervisor at Ottawa Public Health, where support was provided to the COVID-19 vaccination response through the Emergency Operations Centre. Prior roles include serving as Executive Assistant to Councillor Jenna Sudds, managing team members and performance agreements, and as a Legislative Assistant for the Parliament of Canada, where management of staff and analysis of strategic issues were key responsibilities. Andres also held the position of Parliamentary Assistant and Communications Advisor, representing the Member at events and maintaining media relations. Andres holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Carleton University.
