Ben Dick

Ben Dick is a Senior Data Analytics Strategist at the City of Ottawa, with extensive experience in data management, cultural planning, and research. Since December 2016, Ben has coordinated the city's involvement in various initiatives, including the Bloomberg Philanthropies City Data Alliance and the development of the Citywide Data Strategy. Previous roles include Cultural Mapping and Research Officer, where Ben managed innovative partnerships and cultural mapping projects, and Research Assistant positions focused on cultural development and planning. Ben also contributed to the Canadian Arts Coalition's framework for arts and culture during the COVID-19 recovery and has held roles in various cultural organizations, enhancing data-driven decision-making processes. Ben holds a Master of Arts in Political Economy from Carleton University and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and Cultural Management from the University of Waterloo.
