Derek McMaster

Derek McMaster, CPA, CMA, currently serves as the Manager of Collaborative Planning & Projects at the City of Ottawa, where a new team has been established to oversee multi-disciplinary projects aimed at achieving the City’s 10 Year Housing and Homelessness Plan objectives. Previously, as Manager of Strategy and Corporate Performance at Ottawa Community Housing Corporation, Derek led strategy development, project management, and performance measurement initiatives. Derek's experience at the City of Ottawa spans roles in financial planning, program administration, and social housing monitoring, with a strong focus on financial analysis and support for housing services. Prior experience includes investigative and auditing roles with the Canada Revenue Agency. Derek holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from the University of Saskatchewan and a Certified Management Accountant designation.
