Jason Barney has extensive experience in information technology, currently serving as the Associate Chief Information Officer at the City of Ottawa since November 2005. Prior roles at the City of Ottawa include Manager of Applications Management and Manager of Digital Service and Innovation. Jason has also held positions as Program Manager for GIS and Citizen Centric Projects, as well as Project Manager. Before joining the City of Ottawa, Jason worked as a Software Engineer at CGI and as a Senior Consultant/Team Lead at both MDA and Autodesk. Jason began a career as a Systems Analyst at CFM. Educational credentials include a Masters Certificate in Project Management from Carleton University, an Advanced Diploma in Geographic Information Systems from College of New Caledonia, and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from Carleton University.
