Nick Heisler

Nick Heisler is an experienced political advisor with a strong background in government relations and strategic planning. Currently serving as Chief of Staff to a City Councillor in Ottawa since November 2022, Heisler previously held significant roles at the International Joint Commission from 2001 to 2019, including Senior Advisor for Strategic Planning and External Relations, and Executive Director. Heisler has been involved in high-profile initiatives such as organizing the Centennial Celebration of the Boundary Waters Treaty, working closely with various stakeholders and governmental bodies. Earlier career experiences include positions as Special Assistant and Executive Assistant within the Deputy Prime Minister's office, as well as working for several Members of Parliament. Heisler holds an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Political Science from Western University and a certification in Municipal Government from St. Lawrence College.
