Jennifer Jennekens

Jennifer Jennekens is currently a trustee with the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board. Prior to that, they worked as a Special Assistant with the Senate of Canada. In that role, they were responsible for updating and maintaining website content, writing and distributing newsletters, and collaborating with colleagues to support communication strategies. Jennifer also assisted with the coordination and implementation of special events on Parliament Hill, supervised office volunteers, and provided support to the Senate Internship Program. Additionally, Jennifer provided case management and calendar management support, and ensured that financial reimbursement requests were done in a timely manner.

Jennifer Jennekens started their educational career by completing a Special Event Planning program at George Brown College. Jennifer then went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science and Government at Carleton University. Finally, they attended Hillcrest High School.
