Dr.hany Gattas

Dr. Hany Gattas is a research assistant at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute since August 2015, focusing on chronic disease research through systematic reviews and meta-analyses. Dr. Gattas is also pursuing an advanced biotechnology diploma in genetic engineering, lab management, regulatory affairs, biochemistry, and bioinformatics from Ottawa, started in January 2015. Previously, Dr. Gattas served as the head of the family medicine and internal medicine department at Sabry Bahnam Hospital from 1989 to 2011 and managed a Community Health Centre while working as a family physician for the Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia from July 2008 to June 2010. Early career experience includes a role as a senior resident in internal medicine and nephrology at Naser University Hospital from June 1991 to June 1993, specializing in kidney transplantation. Dr. Gattas holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery in Cairo, Egypt.
