Janice Marks

Janice Marks has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Their most recent role was as the Director of HR and Research Administration at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute, a position they have held since June 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President of People and Community Programs at Arnprior Regional Health from July 2020 to June 2022.

Janice has also held various roles at the City of Ottawa, starting as a Coordinator of Environment, Safety, and Staff Development in May 2002 and progressing to roles such as Manager of Rail Business Services and Program Manager of Human Resources. Janice began their career as a Research Technician in biochemistry at Queen's University, where they worked from March 1988 to February 1990.

Janice Marks has a diverse education history. Janice attended Queen's University from 1983 to 1987 and obtained a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Biochemistry. Janice later pursued further education at the Schulich School of Business - York University from 2010 to 2012, earning a Master's Certificate in Municipal Leadership. In 2014, they enrolled in the Ontario Association of Non-Profit Homes and Services for Seniors to complete the OANHSS Administrator Leadership Program, which they are currently undertaking. Additionally, Janice obtained a Change Management Practitioner certification from Prosci in 2018.
