Julia F Shaw is a dedicated researcher with a strong academic background in epidemiology and kinesiology. Currently serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute since May 2019, Julia supports clinical research led by Dr. Monica Taljaard and contributes to the Aging Innovation In Perioperative Medicine & Surgery (AIMS) Research Team under Dr. Daniel McIsaac. Previously, Julia was awarded the CFN Summer Student award while conducting research on frailty and aging during a summer research assistantship at the same institute in 2018. Julia earned a Master of Science in Epidemiology from the University of Ottawa (2019-2021) and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Epidemiology at the same institution, expected to graduate in 2027, after obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from McGill University (2014-2019).
