Scholastica Olanrewaju, MPH, PMP® has a diverse work experience in the field of public health, with a focus on surveillance, implementation science, and monitoring and evaluation.
Starting in 2012, Scholastica worked at the Institute of Human Virology Nigeria in various roles, including Program Officer and Program Assistant in Strategic Information. During this time, they were responsible for generating reports, supervising data entry teams, and ensuring adherence to monitoring and evaluation plans.
In 2019, Scholastica held multiple positions. Scholastica worked as a Strategic Information Officer and later as a Senior Strategic Information Associate at CIHPNG, where they supported monitoring, reporting, and analysis of HIV program data. Scholastica also provided technical support for immunization programs and facilitated the transition of an HIV program in Lagos State. Additionally, they worked as part of the Technical Unit at HEALTH SYSTEMS CONSULT LIMITED (HSCL), and briefly served as a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist at Value Minds Software Solution.
From 2020 to 2022, Scholastica served as a Senior Program Officer in Surveillance and Implementation Science at the Institute of Human Virology Nigeria. During this time, they gained experience in leading HIV surveillance initiatives, providing technical support, and monitoring the implementation of HIV surveillance in Nigeria.
In 2022, Scholastica joined PHIS3 as an Advisor. In this role, they led the HIV Surveillance team and coordinated the HTS Modality Cost Survey in multiple states. Scholastica provided technical support, conducted trainings, and reviewed data to support the implementation of HIV surveillance initiatives in Nigeria.
Most recently, in 2023, Scholastica started working as a Health Information Analyst at Ottawa Public Health, where they are currently contributing their skills and expertise.
Scholastica Olanrewaju, MPH, PMP®, has a diverse educational background with a focus on public health and data science. Scholastica obtained their Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from the University of Aberdeen in 2018, with a specialization in Public Health. Prior to that, they completed a Data Analyst Nanodegree from Udacity in 2020, developing skills in data science.
In 2011, Scholastica earned their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Zoology from the University of Ibadan. Before pursuing higher education, they completed their high school education at the Federal Government College (FGC) Kwali, Abuja, from 1999 to 2005.
In addition to their formal education, Scholastica has also obtained various certifications to enhance their skills. Scholastica achieved the Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification from the Project Management Institute in December 2020. This certification validates their expertise in project management. Scholastica also holds a Certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation of Public Health Programs from Ahmadu Bello University, obtained in November 2015. Furthermore, they have obtained the Verified International Academic Qualifications certificate from World Education Services in October 2019, ensuring the authenticity of their educational credentials.
To further expand their knowledge in global health, Scholastica attended the McGill Summer Institutes in Global Health offered by McGill University in June 2023.
