Derek Snyder

Derek Snyder is a Project Engineer at Otter Tail Power Company since August 2023, bringing a wealth of experience in the electrical engineering field. Prior to this role, Derek served as a Substation Engineer at Minnesota Power from June 2014 to August 2023, and worked as a Power Systems Engineer at L&S Electric from May 2013 to June 2014, where responsibilities included testing various protection devices and providing system information to customers. Derek also completed two internships at UPM Blandin Paper, focusing on arc flash studies and electrical system analysis. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of North Dakota and an Associate of Science degree from Itasca Community College.
