Lisa Hinson

Lisa Hinson is president and founder of Hinson Ltd Public Relations, a boutique agency that advises clients on media and community relations, marketing and event management. Before founding her company in 1999, Hinson began her career at L Brands and was with the business for over a decade.

Lisa serves on the boards of several nonprofit organizations including The James Cancer Hospital Foundation Board and The Ohio State University Foundation Board. She is a former board chair of Experience Columbus, which promotes Columbus-area travel and tourism. Lisa also is a member of the Governing Committee of The Columbus Foundation and serves as vice chair of the Hinson Family Foundation, a supporting organization of The Columbus Foundation.

She is co-founder of Girls with Gears, a grassroots peloton that has raised over $1,000,000 for cancer research at The James. In 2019, she received the Medical Mutual Kent Clapp CEO Leadership Award for Community Service. She has also been recognized as a YWCA Woman of Achievement and was a recipient of the United Way of Central Ohio’s Bob Crane Sr Young Philanthropist Award.

Previous board service includes The Columbus School for Girls, The Columbus Symphony Orchestra, New Albany Children’s Ballet Theatre, The Jeanne B. McCoy Community Center for the Arts, and Directions for Youth and Families. Lisa has been involved with the United Way of Central Ohio and co-chair of several campaigns over the years including the Young Leadership, Cinquefoil Fellowship and Tocqueville campaigns. She is also a member of National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), Women for Economic and Leadership Development (WELD) and Urban Land Institute (ULI).

She is married to residential real estate agent Alan Hinson. They have two children and reside in New Albany, Ohio.
