Marcus Akermann

Member of the Executive Board, Multichannel Distance Selling at Otto

Dr Marcus Ackermann, born 1966 in Braunschweig, is responsible as Member of the Group's Executive Board for the strategic development of the Group company OTTO, the Bonprix Group, the Witt Group, as well as Sheego.

The graduate biologist began his career in 1995 at OC&C Strategy Consultants.

In 1998, he joined the Otto Group as Division Manager Internal Consulting. Dr Ackermann worked at Bonprix from December 2001 where he quickly rose from Divisional Vice President to Executive Board Member with responsibility for Strategy, Marketing, Sales, and E-Commerce. From 2012 to 2016, he was Chairman of the Executive Board at the successful, vertically-integrated fashion retailer.

Dr Marcus Ackermann was appointed to the Executive Board of the Otto Group by 1st January 2017. He is married and has two children.
