Niko Kuivas

Niko Kuivas is an experienced operations and project engineer currently working at Oulun Energia -konserni since October 2018, with responsibilities encompassing turbines, boilers, steam networks, and gas equipment operational use. Previously, Niko served as Project Engineer, overseeing the public procurement procedure for a turbine plant and managing mechanical installation and commissioning activities. Niko's experience dates back to Oulun Energia -konserni from January 2010 to March 2013 as a Shift Operations Engineer and Service Engineer, ensuring the safe operational use of boilers and turbines. Prior roles include Service Engineer at Wartsila Finland, coordinating projects and mechanical commissioning, as well as positions at Eckerö Line as a Motorman and Veleiro Oy in repair and installation work. Niko holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Maritime Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences in Kotka and a High School degree in Watchkeeping Engineering.
