Cory Loewen

Cory Loewen has over two decades of experience in software development and engineering. Their most recent position is as a Software Architect at OurFamilyWizard, which they started in 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Dotdash Meredith for four years, from 2018 to 2022, as a Principal Software Engineer. In this role, they expanded, upgraded, and maintained AWS hosted RESTful data services for a large user base, and was responsible for various architectural projects.

From 2015 to 2018, Cory worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Meredith Corporation (formerly Cozi Inc.), where they developed services for the Cozi Family Organizer app, using technologies such as MySQL, SQLAlchemy, Python, and AWS. Cory also designed a new authentication system for integration with Amazon Alexa.

Before joining Meredith Corporation, Cory worked at Microsoft for a combined total of ten years. From 2010 to 2014, they were a Software Development Engineer in Test II, specializing in reliability testing for Azure services. Cory also conducted fault model analysis and utilized PowerShell and code injection techniques.

From 2004 to 2009, Cory worked as a Software Development Engineer II at Microsoft, focusing on CE automotive platforms. Their responsibilities included working on various products such as Ford Sync and Fiat's Blue & Me, and they developed features related to media transport, Bluetooth, and speech recognition.

Cory also has experience as a Software Contractor at Driver Development Corp, working on device drivers and firmware for Windows-based systems from 2001 to 2004. Additionally, they have entrepreneurial experience as the Co-Founder of House of Slack Games, where they worked from 2000 to 2001.
