Jordan Wood

Jordan Wood has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. In 1996, they worked as a Software Engineer in the Core Modules Team at Spanlink Communications, where they designed and developed libraries in C and C++ for use by other programming teams and created a C++ telephony library. They continued at Spanlink Communications as a Software Engineer in the Custom Team, where they developed customized telephony software, collaborated with client companies on specifications and troubleshooting, and worked in teams of one to three programmers.

In 2002, Jordan took a summer internship position as a Software Engineering Intern at Boston Scientific, where they proposed the use of an open source text editor for the development of a GUI tool in the testing pipeline.

From 2014 to 2015, Jordan worked as a Mobile Developer at Sylvan Solutions, LLC, where they updated apps for iOS and collaborated with Third Iron to enhance the performance and testability of their BrowZine app, utilizing Objective-C, Java (Android), JavaScript, and Typescript.

Starting in 2016, Jordan joined Third Iron as a Lead iOS Developer, where they contributed to various systems including the native iOS version of BrowZine, the Node/PostgreSQL database backend, a multi-browser web extension, a Node/CouchDB database system, and an email notification system. They also collaborated with the development team on architecture and design of the company's SaaS products.

Most recently, in 2022, Jordan started working as a Senior iOS Engineer at OurFamilyWizard.

Jordan Wood completed a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota from 2002 to 2006. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, General from Grinnell College between 1992 and 1995. Additionally, in November 2012, Jordan obtained certification in Human-Computer Interaction from Coursera.
