Benjamin Cairns

Director of Biostatistics at Our Future Health

Benjamin Cairns has a range of work experience in the field of biostatistics and epidemiology. Benjamin is currently the Director of Biostatistics at Our Future Health UK since July 2021. Prior to this, they worked at the University of Oxford from 2008 to 2021, holding various roles including Senior Research Fellow, Senior Statistical Epidemiologist, BHF Centre of Research Excellence Fellow, and Research Scientist. Before joining the University of Oxford, Benjamin worked as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at the University of Bristol from 2005 to 2008.

Benjamin Cairns's education history begins in 1995 at The University of Queensland. From 1995 to 2000, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a major in Philosophy. Following that, they continued their studies at the same university and obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Statistics, which they completed in 2002. Benjamin Cairns then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mathematics from 2002 to 2005, also at The University of Queensland.
