Benjamin Elsworth

Benjamin Elsworth has extensive work experience in the field of bioinformatics and data engineering. Benjamin is currently employed at Our Future Health UK, where they hold the position of Lead Data Engineer since June 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as a Senior Data Engineer at the same company starting from October 2021.

Before joining Our Future Health UK, Benjamin was the Co-founder and Director of Researcher Searcher, a company that facilitates finding researchers across various disciplines and levels of seniority. Benjamin held this position from June 2022 onwards and received recognition through awards and funding.

Benjamin's earlier experience includes positions at the University of Bristol, where they worked as a Research Fellow in Bioinformatics and Causal Inference from June 2018 to October 2021. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Research Associate in Bioinformatics from August 2015 to June 2018. Benjamin also worked at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research as a Bioinformatics Research Officer from September 2013 to August 2015.

Benjamin's career started at The University of Edinburgh, where they served as a Bioinformatics Research Associate from February 2012 to August 2013.

Benjamin Elsworth holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Evolutionary Genomics, which they obtained from The University of Edinburgh from 2008 to 2012. Prior to this, they pursued a Master of Research (MRes) degree in Bioinformatics at the University of York from 2006 to 2007.
