Sólveig Óskarsdóttir

Sólveig Óskarsdóttir has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Sólveig began their career as a Web Developer at Efla Consulting Engineers in 2001, where they developed external and internal websites using PHP4, MySQL, HTML/CSS, and Javascript. Sólveig then worked as a Web Developer at Kort e-Cards in 2002 before joining Vodafone Iceland as a System/Web Developer in 2003. At Vodafone Iceland, they worked on e-Commerce applications using C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server, Oracle, PostGre, CSS/HTML/XML, and Javascript. In 2006, they became a System Developer Manager, leading the Web Development team and handling business analysis, requirements gathering, design, architecture, and team/resource management.

Sólveig then joined Landsbanki in 2007 as a Software Developer, building internal web applications and integrating systems using C#, ASP.NET, CSS/XML/HTML, SQL Server, Oracle, SharePoint, and Murex. In 2008, they moved to Live Nation Entertainment, where they initially worked as a Developer in a small agile team. Sólveig later became a Lead Developer, responsible for the B2B team and focusing on improving the development process through code reviews, software series, continuous integration, and documentation using C# and ASP.NET.

In 2012, Sólveig transitioned to Huddle, starting as a QA Engineer and progressing to roles such as Development Team Lead, Test Engineering Manager, Head Of Quality Assurance, and Head of Delivery & QA. Their responsibilities at Huddle involved managing QA teams, working closely with other leaders, managing releases, and dealing with competing stakeholders.

Sólveig joined Unmind in 2020 as the Head of Engineering, accountable for full-stack software engineers, delivery management, product development, and contributing to the Department Leads team. Sólveig later became the VP of Engineering, accountable for the entire engineering team and leading the product development group.

Currently, Sólveig is working at Our Future Health UK as a Senior Engineering Manager, focused on the Researchers side of the organization.
