Jimmy Tao

Prof Jimmy Tao is a distinguished leader in the biotechnology and healthcare sectors, currently serving as Chairman of the Biotechnology and Healthcare Council at the Federation of Hong Kong Industries and the Hong Kong Startup Council. With an academic background that includes a Master's Degree in Engineering from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science from The University of Manchester, Jimmy Tao also holds positions as an Adjunct Professor at City University of Hong Kong and an Industry Fellow at the University of California, Berkeley. As the Founding President of the HKSTP Startups Alumni Association, Jimmy Tao fosters community engagement among alumni, while contributing to various advisory and leadership roles, including Director at the Hong Kong Baptist University Foundation and member of multiple advisory committees. Publications and media contributions include being a columnist for Ohpama and an advisor for Metro Broadcast.
