Kapil Chadha leads investment in energy transition and sustainable food and ag sectors for Franklin Templeton’s global private equity team. Before joining Franklin Templeton in 2017, Kapil was a senior member of the investment team at NBK Capital Partners, responsible for managing both private equity and mezzanine strategies totaling USD 1 bn. In this capacity, Kapil held several Board positions and Observer/Executive Committee roles, working closely with management teams in matters relating to strategy, finance, governance, and operations.
Before joining NBK Capital Partners, Kapil worked at Updata Capital, a boutique tech M&A advisory firm. He advised on a range of M&A transactions involving publicly listed and private technology companies in the US. Kapil started his career as a public equities analyst at Thomson, Siegel & Walmsley, a Virginia-based investment management firm with over USD 13 bn in AUM. He co-founded August Capital Partners, an early-stage, India-focused consumer opportunities fund.
Kapil holds a Master's in Business Administration from Goizueta Business School at Emory University and a Bachelor of Science from McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia. Kapil speaks five languages and is a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO).
