Chu Chimezie

Chu Chimezie has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. They most recently held the position of Senior Vice President - Global Product at Our Place since January 2021. Prior to that, they worked at quip. as Head of Global Sourcing & Supply Chain from September 2019 to January 2021. Chu also gained experience at Harry's, Inc. as a Senior Manager Global Sourcing from August 2018 to September 2019. They worked at Procter & Gamble as Purchases Manager in the SKIN | Personal Care & Cleansing division from April 2018 to August 2018 and in the Hair | Personal Care & Cleansing division from March 2017 to April 2018. Previously, Chu held positions at Haier as a Global Commodity Leader - Electronics from November 2015 to March 2017 and at GE Appliances in various roles such as Global Commodity Leader, Logistics and Transportation Business Analyst, Site PMQE and Site PPM, Materials Control Specialist, Business Team Manager, and Global Commodity Leader through the company's OMLP rotation program from July 2013 to November 2015. Chu also has experience as an Office of Admissions Graduate Assistant at Purdue University Krannert School of Management from August 2011 to May 2013, as a Sourcing: Purchasing Program Manager intern at GE Appliances from May 2012 to August 2012, and in various roles at Purdue University including Ambassador at the Purdue Black Cultural Center, Lead Instructor for the Purdue Minority in Engineering Program, Undergraduate Researcher, and Purdue Summer Undergraduate Research Foundation from January 2009 to May 2012. They also interned as a CBD MBO Intern for the Kroger Team at Procter & Gamble from May 2010 to August 2010.

Chu Chimezie's education history begins with their high school diploma from Istrouma High School Technology Magment, which they obtained from 2002 to 2006. After that, they attended Purdue University from 2006 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering with a focus on Mathematics. Chu continued their education at Purdue University Daniels School of Business from 2011 to 2013, obtaining an MBA degree with a specialization in Marketing and Strategic Management (International Business).

In terms of additional certifications, Chu obtained the GE Campus Recruiter certification from GE Appliances in August 2014, and also obtained a GreenBelt Certification from the same institution in June 2014.
